The Wetlands and Wildlife Care Center has experienced  storm damage. The rain and wind damaged our outside electrical conduits causing an electrical short.  Water got in causing a small fire that damaged the conduit and box.  Evidently, watertight outside electrical boxes can sometimes fail in heavy storms.  We need assistance and money to help with these repairs.  Currently, our outside pool pumps are shut down -- Clean water is critical to the health of our water and sea birds.  We have reached out to the local electrician's union for help on the wiring and are still awaiting their reply.  We do not have Insurance to cover this event.  Please consider donating to our emergency repair fund today.
